Volleyball has always been a popular sport in the Rouleau/Avonlea/Wilcox communities however never before have we fielded a club volleyball team... that is until 2011! With the assistance of the QCVC (Queen City Volleyball Club) and surrounding rural area there was enough interest to proceed with a 14U team in 2011.

In 2011 there were 40 teams in Saskatchewan and with a dedicated group of 13U and 14U athletes, the 2011 edition of the 14U Panthers placed 13th at Provincials; quite an accomplishment considering our population base was one of the smallest of ALL competitors!

2012 brought 5 additional athletes wishing to join our group. Rather than cutting players from the 15U squad, 2 teams were created:
  • 14U Panthers and,
  • 15U Panthers!

This year our teams are made up of athletes from Rouleau, Avonlea, Wilcox, Milestone, and Bengough! We have two 2-hour practices per week in Rouleau (sometimes Avonlea) and will be attending a total of 9 tournaments between the two teams! We're looking forward to more great things in 2012 and are excited to compete this year.
